The information we collect from you depends on your use of the site. When you take courses with us, we collect the billing information you provide on our check out page. This includes your credit card number, expiration date, CVV/CVC, and the cardholder name. We also collect contact information including your email, first and last name, and address, which are requirements for the course sale via Wix, our site platform. 

 

Students that take our courses have access to develop a profile on our site. Information added in this profile includes your log-in information, join date and any additional information you chose to share to the profile. This profile also includes your purchase history with our site along with your active and completed courses.  

Our site may also collect use information related to how you interact with our site including session information, navigation through our site pages, page interaction information and the internet protocol (IP) address used by your computer when visiting our pages.  

How do we collect information?

We collect information when you interact with our website. For example, when you complete a purchase, the information you supplied to us during that purchase is collected. The same is true when completing any of our site forms, for example the "Contact Us" page. In short, if you provide information to this site, that information is collected at the time you complete the form or hit save or submit.

We may also collect use information in real time, which reflects the processes / information reported above.

Why do we collect information?

We collect your information for the following purposes:

  1. To complete transactions, including collecting the applicable information for the delivery of services. 

  2. To provide you with customer assistance or support, such as completing a request for more information or a query through our "Contact Us" page.

  3. Where applicable, to be able to contact our students with information regarding our most up-to-date courses and resources. 

  4. To develop aggregated, non-personal, statistical information to inform us or our business partners regarding general site usage and interaction. This aggregate information helps us to improve our website and services, and identify trends in the needs of our consumers.

  5. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations. 

How do we store, use, share and disclose our site visitors' personal information?

DH Forensics is hosted on the Wix.com platform, which allows us to sell on-demand content, including accredited courses. Data collected from our purchases and site interactions is stored digitally, though Wix.com's data storage. This storage is secured on servers behind a firewall.

As assured through Wix:

"All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers."

How do we communicate with site visitors?

We communicate with our site visitors through the contact information provided by that visitor during a transaction or contact form completion. Our primary communication is through email, and our customers will hear from us via this platform first. We will primarily communicate to respond to a query but may also use the email address on file to notify our visitors of newly released content, resources, or promotional offers through our site. Recipients may opt out at any time by unsubscribing through the email or contacting us directly at info@dhforensics.com.

How do we use cookies?

We use cookies on our site in order to assist with site security, allow for site login, system monitoring and effectiveness, and for language preferences, where applicable.

For most browsers, to see which cookies are in use, simply locate the web address bar at the top of the site, hovering over the icon at the beginning of the site bar. Visitors Under the Age of 13

In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule ("COPPA"), DH Forensics is firm against collecting information from children under the age of 13. Children under the age of 13 are prohibited from providing information on this site. We do not actively collect information from children under the age of 13.

 

In the event we discover information has been collected from a child under the age of 13, appropriate steps will be taken to remove the information stored on our site.
