Basics
Launched in 2024, DH Forensics is an educational platform, designed to provide accredited, high-quality, engaging coursework to those in the medicolegal death investigative (MDI) community.
We believe that well-trained, highly-educated investigators not only move their agencies forward, with more accurate and confident certifications of death, but also provide increasing value to the communities they serve. DH seeks to amplify that community benefit by allocating a portion of course funds to causes relevant to the topic of each course offered through our platform.

COMPREHENSIVE COURSES.
Our classed are accredited through the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators (ABMDI) and are a blend of research, education and experience.
The
Courses
The world of scientific publication is deep and resource-rich, but often of less interest to death investigators than traditional field experience.
DH curates this resource through the lens of practical experience, blending findings from well-respected journals in the fields of forensic pathology, forensic science, and psychology with classic case studies and the investigative experience of the course author(s).
Though often focused on a particular topic, our courses are equally comprehensive, exploring the topic from many investigative angles, giving even our more advanced and experienced students something new to learn.

We love academia, but it doesn't always translate into practical skills and benefits. Here at DH, we develop training that goes beyond facts and figures, ensuring our students have an impact the goes beyond the classroom.

Course Training Leaflet
Designed to be easily incorporated into the investigator's existing training materials or experience binder, this leaflet covers the core topics of the course and provides room to document additional training and scene experience related to the course.
Recommended Reading
Providing credit for intellectual work is important. This list allows DH to do just that, by further identifying the sources reported in our coursework as well as providing the more curious and research-savvy of our students with a starting point for their own scientific exploration.
Course Terms Handbook
A handbook that outlines, identifies, and illustrates the key terms used throughout the course. This handbook covers terms from the basic (e.g., "autopsy") to the advanced (e.g., "Diogenes Syndrome"), using simplified language to ensure maximum comprehension.
Reduced Time Commitment
Our classes are divided into manageable sections, designed to be completed in between death calls, while waiting for food to be delivered, or any other breakaway points you may have throughout the day.
Finally, we know MDIs are often compassionate, empathetic advocates for the deceased, whose day-to-day services can seem a lot more like social work than the investigative or scientific responsibilities they studied in school.
